Kodiak Taxidermy is a full service taxidermy shop that produces some of the most artistic, quality taxidermy work to be found anywhere. Our attention to detail is second to none. This is not an assembly-line shop producing quantity. All taxidermy is completed by Taxidermist Eric Wietfeld, who insists on quality. Every trophy mounted in our shop is finished with competition quality. Only the best eyes, ears, forms, and hide glue are used in our shop. All capes and hides are professionally tanned to ensure your trophy will last a lifetime.
Eric has been doing taxidermy professionally for over 23 years. He started his taxidermy career in Ohio working extensively with Whitetails, then on to Michigan where he started broadening his experience with Salmon and Trout. He eventually came to Alaska, and started working in Kodiak. Since his arrival in Kodiak in 1987, he has extensive experience with Alaskan Big Game, Waterfowl and both Saltwater and Freshwater Fish. "I am also an avid Hunter and Fisherman, therefore I know and understand the time, effort and how much you must work to afford to go on a Hunting or Fishing trip. After returning home from a trip of a lifetime, you can rest assured your trophy is in the hands of someone who truly has a passion for his work and will complete your mount as if it were his own. I invite you to view the Gallery for some Examples of our work." |
